Section 11 — Input/Output Menu
Because only two signals are combined at a time, intermediate stages are
required for four channel combining. Each stage has one channel input,
and one other input from a previous stage. Stage 1 is the final output stage,
Stage 2 is the intermediate stage, and Stage 3 is the initial stage. Stage 3
actually has two channel inputs, since there are no previous stages. For sim-
plicity, the two inputs to each stage (including Stage 3) are called Channel
(Chan) and Prev (Prev).
The currently selected Mix Mode of each stage is indicated on the screen
with
N
(Normal),
D
(Depth), and
V
(Variable). When a stage is set to Variable
the numbers of the layering selections are also displayed.
