Coring Menu
The Coring menu provides tools to force the video to black when lumi-
nance falls below a specified level. This is useful in eliminating noise near
black level which may be a problem when keying.
Press the
CORING>
button located in the
Key/Stencil
top menu to bring up the
following menu:
The following Soft Button function is used with this menu when the
CORING
mode is
ON
:
CORING AREA
— coring choices include:
KEY
cores only those areas outside the active key region (where video is
assumed invalid).
ALL
cores the entire picture.
The soft knob used with this menu is:
CORING LEVEL
— sets the coring threshold below which the video is
forced to black. This parameter is given in IRE units, where 7.5 corre-
sponds to black and 100 to white.
