Lighting Menu
Shade 1
When you want to create shading effects based on one light source, press
LIGHTING MODE
to highlight the
SHADE 1
parameter as shown in the menu
below.
Functions are the same in this menu as Shade 2 mode. The only difference
is that there is no ADJUST for Light 1 or Light 2 since the shading from this
menu is produced from only one light. You get a full bandwidth light using
this mode, which helps prevent banding along the soft edges of the light
sources.
SHADE 1
uses light 1 of the
SHADE 2
mode. Light 1’s parameters are carried
across (and keyframmed across) as you switch between Shade 2 and Shade
1. For example: set the specular matte of Light 1 in Shade 2 mode. Switch
to Shade 1 mode. Note that the matte stays where you set it.
Shade 1 Lighting menu functions (Shade 1 is the same as Light 1 in Shade
2 mode):
The functions in this menu, with the exception of the ADJUST mode not
being applicable to this menu, are the same as those used in the
SHADE 2
mode. Refer to the immediately preceding section “
SHADE 2
lighting mode
menu” for details.
Matte
Matte functions are used for both Highlight and Shading parameters.
When you choose
SHADE 2
lighting mode, Mattes for both
SPECULAR
and
SHADING
parameters are provided as shown in the menu below.
