File Operations Menu
SELECT/SCROLL
button is used to scroll to and select an item in the active
scroll list.
SCROLL
soft knob is used to scroll to and select an item in the active scroll
list.
SAVE...
is used to save the selected item to floppy disk. You will be
prompted for a file name of up to 8 characters. An effect’s current name will
be displayed as the default name for the file. The default file name will be
truncated to 8 characters, invalid DOS characters will be removed, and
reserved DOS words (i.e. PRN, AUX, CON will be changed to “EFFECT”).
The item is saved as an ASCII file. If a file with the same name already
exists, you will be asked to verify the command.
LOAD...
is used to load the selected item from floppy disk to the Krystal
system. You will be prompted to verify the action. Previous contents of the
destination being loaded to will be overwritten. Reloaded register files
display their complete effect names even if the file name was truncated
when saved. When loadingindividual register files, be sure to select the
desired Krystal register in the EFFECTS REGISTERS list before you load
the selected file from disk. Register files can be saved to any register
number. A single register file can be loaded to the register it came from by
selecting the individual effect file in the right scroll pane and selecting
ALL
in the EFFECTS REGISTERS list before loading the file from disk. When
loading
ALL
or
ALL Separate
, Krystal registers not represented on the floppy
disk are not overwritten.
DELETE FILE...
is used to delete an individual file selected in the right scroll
pane from the floppy disk.
