File Operations Menu

To copy channel data from the Channel Operations menu:

1.

Select

COPY

with the

OPERATION

soft button.

2.

Select whether you want to copy

ALL

or only the

SELECTED

timelines with

the

AFFECTED TIMELINES

soft button.

3.

Select the channel to copy “From:” using the

SELECT/SCROLL

soft button

and/or the

SCROLL

soft knob, and select the channel to copy “To:” in a

similar manner.

4.

Execute the function by pressing

COPY...

. After the function completes,

a message will appear at the top of the screen to notify the user whether
or not the operation was successful.

When a copy channel operation is executed with ALL Affected Timelines
chosen, all function timelines in the channel being copied to are deleted. All
active function timelines are then copied between the chosen channels. If
there are no active function timelines in the “From:” channel, no action is
performed and a message is displayed.

When a copy channel operation is executed with SELECTED Affected
Timelines chosen, any function timelines in the channel being copied to
that are same as those currently selected in the other channel are deleted.
The selected timelines in the channel being copied from are then copied to
the other channel. Note that any selected function timelines on the channel
being copied to are ignored. If there are no selected function timelines in
the “From:” channel no action will be performed and a message is dis-
played.

Swap

The swap function exchanges keyframe data between two channels in the
current effect.

To swap channel data, use the same procedure as the copy function except
select the SWAP operation. The left channel selection scroll pane will indi-
cate “Swap:”, and the right pane will indicate “With:”.

If you use SELECTED Affected Timelines for a swap operation, you can
select the timelines on either channel involved in the swap. Data will be
exchanged if an active function is selected on only one of the channels.
Also, if a timeline selected for swapping on one channel is not present on
the other channel, a Move of that timeline data will be performed. The data
will be copied to a new timeline for that channel and the original channel’s
timeline data will be removed. If no data is selected on either channel an
error message will be displayed.

When a swap channel operation is executed, the data being exchanged is
removed from its source channel and copied to its destination channel.
