Off-screen Right and Left Indicators

The off-screen indicators appear as left and right arrows when the Master
Timeline has been zoomed and there are keyframes off-screen to the right
and/or left of the display.

Delegated Channel Work Buffer

The rest of the Master Timeline screen is devoted to showing the Master
Timeline of each delegated channel’s work buffer (as shown in the menu
below). As channels are delegated and undelegated, they appear and dis-
appear from this screen. There is space for all seven channels (Channels 1-
4, Globals 1-2, and the Camera) to be delegated at the same time. Channels
always appear in order from the left, with Channel 1 appearing first, then
Channels 2, 3, 4, Globals 1 and 2, and then Camera.

Change Indication

When the time is changed in the effect, values are calculated in each
channel from information in keyframes and is written to the Channel work
buffer. The Video Processing hardware then reads the work buffer and pro-
cesses the video image accordingly.

When function values are adjusted from the control panel, the work buffer
is modified. This results in a difference between the values in the work
buffer and the information computed from the current effect position. The
Master Timeline screen indicates this difference by displaying an asterisk
(*) next to the function names whose values are different from the values at
the current time in the effect.

Off-screen Indicators

When the length of the active function list is larger than the display area,
off-screen indicators will appear in the display. A down arrow at the
bottom of the screen indicates the list continues off the display. An up
arrow beneath a channel name (not shown) indicates the list has been
scrolled, and function names continue above the arrow. The scroll knob is
used to bring these off-screen function names into view.
