Setting the Drive Type
The next PCM Setup parameter is Drive Type. This is the type of drive circuit used to control the
delivery of a product. The list of available drive types depends on the Application selected in the
previous setup page. Some Drive Types have an additional Drive Types Settings page, (See
“Drive Type Settings” on page 2-26.), accessed from the Settings button on the Drive Type page.

Drive Type
Description
Servo
Application rate is controlled by a bi-directional motorized valve.
PWM
Application rate is controlled by a pulse-width modulated hydraulic valve.
DC Motor
Application rate is controlled by varying the speed of a DC motor. (Does not
include injection)
Injection
Application rate is controlled by varying the speed of a direct injection pump.
