Caution
(1) Enable Switch
If the effective axis pattern of the all-axis parameter No. 9 “enable switch (deadman switch/safety gate)
effective physical axis pattern” is set to a value other than 11111111B (only specific main CPU control axes are
enabled), axes of the extension motion control board are not stopped by the enable switch.
(2) Connection Recovery Types
When a extension motion control board is installed, it is not allowed to use miscellaneous parameter No. 10
“emergency stop recovery type” or miscellaneous parameter No. 11 “enable switch (deadman switch/enable
switch) recovery type” by setting “2” (recovery while continuing operation). The error No. 506 "Emergency
stop/enable switch recovery type parameter error” occurs when such settings are made.
(3) Do not change I/O parameter No. 20 “input filtering” cycle for extension motion control board axis control input
ports. They may not be able to operate normally if the cycle is changed.
