2. Insert the Luminex XYP instrument heater block on the plate
holder. See Figure 143.

3. Click Eject/Retract to retract the plate holder.
4. Turn heater on and set temperature. Refer to “Set Luminex XYP
Instrument Heater Temperature” on page 6-21.
Luminex 100 IS 2.2
Software
Installation
The Luminex 100 IS 2.2 system arrives with the Luminex 100 IS 2.2
software installed. However, certain circumstances may require
software reinstallation.
There are four installation options:
• Software installation—use this option to install the Luminex 100
IS 2.2 software. If you are installing over version 2.0 or 2.1, the
installation will automatically remove the previous version.
• Modify—use this option to add or remove the Luminex 100 IS
2.2 Developer Guide to xMAP Technology software.
• Repair—use this option to perform certain repairs, such as after
changing the computer name.
• Remove—use this option to remove the Luminex 100 IS 2.2
software only if:
1. You are no longer using the computer in the system.
2. At the recommendation of a Luminex representative.
