•
Verify that you selected the correct template.
•
Verify that lot information is entered correctly.
•
Verify that the system is functioning properly by running system
controls.
•
If the system controls pass, contact the kit manufacturer.
Luminex 100 Analyzer
Problems
Power On
Indicator Light Is
Not On
•
Verify that the Luminex 100 analyzer is powered on.
•
Verify that the system is plugged into an outlet with current.
•
If using a surge protector, verify that the power strip is On.
•
Remove and reconnect the cable.
•
Verify the fuses (see “Fuses” on page 7-11).
PC Is Not Powered
On
•
Verify that the PC voltage is set correctly by checking the back
of the PC. The options are 115 volts and 230 volts.
•
Verify that the system is plugged into an outlet with current.
•
If using a surge protector, verify that the power strip is On.
•
Remove the cable and reconnect.
•
Power on the PC.
Sheath Fluid Is
Leaking Onto the
Plate Holder
•
Remove and sonicate or flush the Luminex XYP instrument
Sample Probe. Load a new plate onto the plate holder.
•
Complete the following analyzer functions from the Maintenance
tab: Backflush, Drain, Alcohol Flush and Water Wash.
•
Empty the waste container. Prime the system and check if sheath
fluid is dripping into the waste container. Contact Luminex
Customer Support with this information.
•
If using the filter bottom plates, adjust the Sample Probe height
up to prevent the probe from puncturing the filter.

Verification
•
Verify that the Luminex 100 analyzer and the Luminex XYP
instrument are connected properly.
•
Empty the waste container if it is completely filled.
•
Verify that the tubing from the sheath fluid and waste containers
are connected properly.
•
Verify that you properly mixed the system calibrators or controls
before dispensing into the wells.
•
Verify that you added the system calibrators or controls to the
correct well on the plate.
•
Verify that the volume added to the well is correct.
