Double-click a switch in the right pane.

Click the Ports button under the Physical column in the Navigation tab, as shown in the
following figure.

Under the Name column in the Ports table, click the port that you want to obtain the status.
5.
On the Properties page, the status of the port is displayed in the right column.
The status of the port can be online, off line or unknown.
*An ES4500 switch displays its status differently when a port is not installed:
•
SWAPI connection
- Unknown status
•
SNMP connection
- Offline
