Previously, the ROBONET RGW-EP had been configured to operate in the “Direct
Numerical Specification Mode” of operation.
Section 3.7 explains the memory map of the ROBONET, which are unique to each of the
four operating modes.
Provide the IP address for the ROBONET EtherNet/IP interface, which should match that
previously established in the ROBONET RGW-EP and provide a name for the connection.
By providing this information to the Logix controller, the ROBONET RGW-EP will not
appear to the Logix controller as if it is a block of remote I/O with, in this example, 16
integer inputs, and 16 integer outputs.
Communication setting may be verified by placing both the ROBONET RGW-EP and the
Logix controller into operation, and then highlighting the ROBONET RGW-EP remote I/O
block from the Logix controller organizer tree.
The status of the ROBONET RGW-EP should reflect “Running.”
