5.2.4 EtherNet/IP
This setup procedure is intended to demonstrate how to establish Ethernet/IP communication
between an Allen Bradley Logix Controller, a ROBONET RGW-EP, and a Programming P.C.
utilizing the Allen Bradley RSLogix5000 software alongside the IAI RCPC programming
application.
The following illustration demonstrates the small example network that will be instituted.
There will be a ROBONET RGW-EP installed at IP 192.168.1.1, a programming P.C. installed
at IP address 192.168.1.2, and an Allen Bradley Logix controller installed at IP address
192.168.1.3. The subnet mask for the entire network is configured as 255.255.255.0. a
standard Ethernet 10/100Mbps capable switch or hub is used to provide the central means of
completing the CAT5 Ethernet/IP network.
