3 Important Points Regarding Wiring
Take note of the following points when connecting a PLC to the MICRO/I or Touch.
• Depending on the environment, connect a shield wire to the FG terminal on either the PLC side or the MICRO/I or
Touch side.
• In case of HG2F/3F/4F when using RS422/485 interface, shorting pin 9 (TERM) and pin 10 (RDA or RD+) inserts a
330-Ohm terminating resistor. Use it if necessary.
• In case of HG2S when using RS422/485 interface, setting the communication switch (SW2) as the below figure
inserts a 330-Ohm terminating resistor. Use it if necessary.
• In case of HG2G-S/-5S/-5F, HG3G/4G and HG1F when using RS422/485 interface, setting the terminator switch ON
inserts a 120-Ohm at HG2G-5F, HG3G/4G, 100-Ohm at HG2G-S/-5S or 330-Ohm at HG1F.

Use it if necessary.
• The Touch is not equipped with terminating resistance. When using the RS422/485 interface, insert terminating resis-
tance with the appropriate value (around 100 to 120
Ω) between terminal No. 8 (RDA) and terminal No. 9 (RDB) as
required.
*1. In case of HG2G-5F, HG3G/4G inserts terminating resistor to only Terminal Port, not D-SUB port.
Insert 100-120 Ohm terminating resistor when using RS422/485 interface at D-SUB port if necessary.
