TYPES
TUC-2R Controller - ( OE320)
The TUC-2R Controller is a Terminal Unit Controller that is used
to control an electronic actuator. This TUC-2R has two onboard
relays, hence the -2R. These two relays are used to control the
electronic actuator. The TUC-2R Controller has application-
specifi c software that was written for the WCC II system, but this
software also will work with the WCC III system.
There are a few different types of optional relay expansion boards
for the TUC-2R that are used to add more relays and or Analog
output, and these optional relay expansion boards are dependent
on the application software. The most common type of WCC
application software for the TUC-2R is called WCC II VAVBOX
(WM software # SS5001), or the new VAV Box III (WM software
# SS5010). Both of these software applications allow for software
selecting of the VAVBOX type.
Please note that both pressure dependent and pressure independent
versions are supported with the VAVBOX and VAV Box III
software.
The following VAV box types are supported with the new WCC
VAV Box III software:

Single Duct Cooling

Heating/Cooling Changeover
•
Series Fan Powered
•
Parallel Fan Powered
The new VAV Box III software may also be used in the older TUC-
2R Boards (with a 32K PAL and 8K RAM). This new VAV Box III
software is meant as an upgraded replacement for the older WCC
II VAVBOX software, or even the older single operation VAV zone
controls that are listed below:

Old WCC II VAVBOX exception to the rule
WattMaster Controls did not create a new WCC II screen for
the proportional hot-water reheat option. We then modifi ed the
software code in the VAVBOX (Version 2.03) EPROM so that you
would be able use the standard VAV BOX screen, and it would
then indicate that you had one stage of heat. On the VAV BOX
screen you would not be able to see the actual proportional control
happening. However, the hot water valve will begin modulation
when it is .5 degrees above the set point and go to 100% open at
1.5 degrees below the heating set point.
