WGCC3.EXE (SS5029)
WGCC3.exe is a user access program. It allows for remote access
via the Internet so that the user or mechanical contractor may
view and then change data pertaining to the building’s mechanical
control system. It is a graphical Windows-based user’s interface
and is similar in operation to the WCC3.EXE program. (Access
to this program is password protected.) See Section 9 for more
information.
NOTICE: As of September 1, 2009 all WCC III - MCDs will
only be shipped with the Linux operating system installed.
Older Windows XP-based WCC III - MCDs should be
upgraded for any future support issues from WattMaster.
The Windows XP operating system is at the end of long
term support with Microsoft. Microsoft’s main issues are
with continuous updates, and the multitude of viruses that
are written for Windows XP are also of concern. The Linux
operating system software on the WCC III - MCD must be
maintained and updated periodically. WattMaster Controls,
Inc. can do these software updates and upgrades remotely
via the internet only if the WCC III - MCD is connected
to the internet. This is why internet access to the WCC
III - MCD is so important. Failure to keep the operating
system updated could result in a WCC III - MCD system
malfunction. WattMaster Controls, Inc. is not responsible for
a system failure that is so generated due to lack of upgrading
or updating because the end customer does not provide a
static IP connection for the WCC III - MCD to the internet for
WattMaster Controls to connect to.
WCC3GUEST.EXE (SS5022)
WCC3GUEST.exe is a user access program. It allows for remote
access via the internet but is limited and is “view only.” The user
cannot make any changes so that the simple user or other non-
qualifi ed personnel can view the status and data of the WCC
III system. It is a companion program to the SCUSCRLTD.exe
program.
SCUSCRLtd.EXE (SS5027)
SCUSCRLTD.exe is a user access program. It allows for remote
access via the internet, but it is limited and is “view only.” The
user cannot make any changes so that the simple user or other non
qualifi ed personnel can only view the status and data of the WCC
III system. It is a companion program to theWCC3GUEST.exe
program.
LimitEditor.EXE
LimitEditor.exe is a contractor-only setup program that sets the
viewable satellite limits for the SCUSCRLTD.exe program. The
WCC III contractor must provide this setup fi le to the end user.
The LimitEditor.exe program creates a fi le named “limit.dat” that
should be located in the SCUSCRLtd subdirectory.
WCC3DOWNLOAD.EXE (SS5030)
WCC3DOWNLOAD.EXE is a user-access program. It allows
for remote access via the Internet so that the user or mechanical
contractor may download new Satellite software. It is used only for
Satellite software downloads. (Access to this program is password
protected.)
Software Updates
WCC III - MCD program updates will be made available using
USB jump drives and/or Internet uploading.
NOTE: For Windows users, the end users are responsible
for maintaining their system’s antivirus software. The
discontinued use or non-renewal of the antivirus software that
is furnished with the WCC III system may result in system
malfunction. WattMaster Controls, Inc. is not responsible for a
system failure so generated.
