Satellite Types - SAT 3P
SAT 3P ( OE455-P) - Figure I-8 (SS5013)
The SAT 3P Controller is only used for up to 8 pulse meter type
inputs. The SAT 3P does not have analog inputs, analog outputs,
control outputs, binary inputs, binary relay outputs, or HSS
expansion ports. Its only stated purpose is to measure the 8 pulse
meter inputs. On the WCC III Satellite structure, the SAT 3P uses
or takes up the place of 8 SAT III Controllers starting with address
#8. See Section 18 for specifi c use and application of the SAT 3P
Controller.
The SAT 3P Controller has 14 status lights. The functions of these
lights or LEDs are listed below.
•
SAT REC
- This LED will be lit when communications
are being received by the SAT 3P Controller.
•
SAT XMIT
- This LED will be lit when communications
are being transmitted by the SAT 3P Controller.
•
LOCAL SET
- This LED will be lit when there are no
communications with the WCC III – MCD and no
communications have occurred in at least the last 2
minutes. This means that this SAT 3P communications
loop is not communicating with the WCC III–MCD.
All setpoint control is then dependent on the LOCAL
SET parameters programmed into the SAT 3P
Controller.
•
STATUS
- This LED blinks every second if SAT 3P is
alive.
•
POWER
- This LED will be lit any time power is
applied to the SAT 3P Controller.
•
COMM
- This LED will be lit when communications are
being received by the SAT 3P Controller.
•
PULSE 1 to PULSE 8
- These eight LEDs will be lit
anytime a corresponding pulse is detected on the eight
pulse inputs of SAT 3P.
