3 Open the command prompt.
4 Change the current directory to the following directory.
5 Execute the following command.
SETUPASD INSTALL
6 Restart the Windows NT/2000.
7 Make sure that the Automatic SD/Remote indicator lamp of the system sta-
tus indicator lamp lights in green.
The automatic shutdown function is activated by the above procedure.
Cancellation of automatic shutdown function
1 Log in the user ID of the Administrator (or a person having the competence
equivalent to the Administrator’s) for the Windows NT/2000 operating sys-
tem.
2 Open the command prompt.
3 Execute the following command.
C: \>SETUPASD UNINSTALL
4 Select “Shutdown” with the
down/restarting the Windows NT/2000 operating system in the usual proce-
dure, and then select “Restart after shutdown” without any switch operation.
5 Make sure that the Automatic SD/Remote indicator lamp of the system sta-
tus indicator lamp lights in orange.
NOTE: If the power switch is pressed after canceling the automatic shut-
down function, the server is immediately switched off without shutdown of
the operating system.
Setup to enable or disable the function of the “Automatic SD/Remote”
indicator lamp
The automatic shutdown function is activated on the Windows NT/2000 oper-
ating system only.
When the server is operated on another operating system, the Automatic SD/
Remote indicator lamp always lights in orange. In this case, it is recommended
to disable the function of the Automatic SD/Remote indicator lamp by the fol-
lowing procedure.
