5 Switch on the server and check to see if no error message appears on the
display.
Installation of ISA Expansion Card (without CFG file)
For installing an ISA expansion card (without CFG file), follow the procedure
mentioned below.
1 Switch on the server and start the SSU (System Setup Utility).
2 Select “Resources” from the “Task” menu.
3 Select “Resource Use” that is shown when an item is selected from the
“Devices” menu, and check the resource.
Change selection of the resource depending on the situation and select
“OK” .
4 Prepare data on the ISA expansion card by “Define ISA Card” that is shown
when “Resources” is selected, and add the data to the system resource by
“Add ISA Card”.
5 Select “Save” to save the data on the new system configuration.
6 Shut down the server and unplug the power cable after cutting off the power
supply.
7 Remove the panels.
See “Removing and replacing the server panels” and “Removing the side
panel (for pedestal models)” on page 25.
8 Change the settings of the expansion card switch and jumper switch in
accordance with the data on the ISA expansion card prepared by “Define
ISA Card”.
9 Set the ISA expansion card into the ISA slot.
10 Restore the panels to the server.
11 Switch on the server again and check to see if no error message appears on
the display.
