Windows 2000 Server

To change the display driver, operate following the procedure mentioned below.

1 Activate the Windows 2000 Server, and log in the user ID of the Adminis-

trator or a person having the competence equivalent to that of the Adminis-
trator.

2 Set the CD-ROM of the Toshiba Server Setup Tool in the CD-ROM drive.

3 Activate the Explorer.

4 Change the current directory to the following directory.

:\PUBLIC\UTILS\TOSHIBA\DPS

5 Execute the setup procedure.

6 Restart the Windows 2000 Server.

Procedure after installation of the Windows 2000 Server

After installation of the Windows 2000 Server is complete, proceed with opera-
tion following the procedure mentioned below.

1 Activate the Windows 2000 Server and log in the user ID of the Administra-

tor or a person having the competence equivalent to that of the Administra-
tor.

2 If no network has been built up, set up the network.

3 If no TCP/IP has been set for the network, set it.

4 Install the SNMP Service in the network.

For installing the SNMP Service, use “Services” that can be opened by
selecting “Control Panel”, “Network” and “Services” of the Windows 2000
Server in this order.

5 Install the automatic shutdown function.

Use the CD-ROM of the Toshiba Server Setup Tool for installing the auto-
matic shutdown function.

6 Install the Service and Software (PowerConsole) of the RAID Controller

(when the RAID Controller is additionally connected).

Use the floppy disk supplied with the RAID Controller for installation.
