SEL Manager

Data on error detected by the mother board is recorded on the event log, and
recorded error data can be checked and cleared by the SSU (System Setup Util-
ity). When “SEL Manager” is selected from the main menu, the following
menu appears on the display and the user can check error data (SEL: System
Event Log) on the display.

Display of error data

When “All Events” is selected on the “View” menu, data on all errors are
shown on the display. To show errors by type, select an item on the “By Sensor”
or “By Event” menu. The display format can be changed by selecting “Set-
tings”, “Display Hex” or “Display Verbose”.

Saving and clearing event (error) data

Data on errors can be saved in file by the SSU. When “Save SEL...” is selected
on the “File” menu, the submenu for saving appears. If the SSU is started by the
floppy disk, change the designation of the memory to save error data from the
RAM drive to the floppy disk, because the drive unit that starts the SSU is usu-
ally regarded as the memory to save the file of error data. The format to save
error data in file can be changed by selecting “Output Binary” or “Output Text”
on the “Settings”. To clear all error data, select “Clear” on the “File”.
