Usage: This item sets the IDE disk controller to be used (Enable) or not to be used
(Disable). Usually set this item to “Enable Primary Channel only”.
NOTE: When installing an expansion card with the floppy disk controller
(some type of SCSI card), make the floppy disk controller of the expansion
card disabled beforehand.
For the setting method, refer to the “Instructions of the Expansion Card”.
Option: On-Board Communication Devices Group
Settings: Serial Port 1 Configuration: 3F8-IRQ4
Usage: The I/O address and interrupt level of the serial port 1 are set by this item.
Settings: Serial Port2 Configuration: 2F8-IRQ3
Usage: The I/O address and interrupt level of the serial port 2 are set by this item.
Settings: Parallel Port Configuration: 378h-IRQ7 : Output Only Mode
Usage: The I/O address and interrupt level of the parallel port are set by this item.
Option: Floppy Drives Group
Settings: Floppy Drive A Options: 3.5-inch 1.44/1.25MB drive
Usage: The type of the floppy disk drive connected to the server is set by this item.
Don’t change the setting value.
Settings: Floppy Drive B Options: Disable or Not Installed
Usage: The server doesn’t have the floppy disk drive B.
Don’t change the setting value.
Option: IDE Devices Group
Usage: This item is used to set the IDE disk controller. Setting of this item by the SSU
is ineffectual.
Option: Keyboard Group
Settings: NumLock: OFF
Usage: This item sets to switch on (ON) “NumLock” function automatically with star-
tup of the server or not (OFF).
Settings: Key Click: Disabled
Usage: Don’t change the setting value.
