Expansion Cards

Up to 1 ISA and 6 PCI expansion cards can be installed in the server.

Expansion slots

Restrictions on ISA expansion cards

An ISA expansion cards requiring a power supply of -5 V cannot be used
because -5 V is not supplied to the ISA slot.

Restrictions on PCI expansion cards

In some cases, a memory module cannot be replaced because of interference
with an optional card in a PCI slot (PCI-6). In such a case, remove the optional
card, then replace the memory module.

Setting of IRQ

Set the optimum IRQ level using a system setup utility (SSU) referring to the
standard interrupt level (IRQ) described in “Appendix A: Interrupt levels” on
page 200.

The contents of setting must be considered for the setting when you install
other devices. Therefore, Toshiba recommends that you record the setting in
Appendix D Device Log.

Cautions when Adding RAID Controllers and SCSI Host Adapters

The server’s system BIOS is compliant to the BIOS Boot Specification (BBS).
By combining the system BIOS with a BBS-compatible RAID controller or
SCSI host adapter, you can select the hard disk drive that will boot the OS
