Removing ISA Expansion Card (without CFG file)

For removing the ISA expansion card (without CFG file), follow the procedure
mentioned below.

1 Switch on the server and start the SSU (System Setup Utility).

2 Select “Resources” from the “Task” menu.

3 Select “Remove ISA Card” and delete the data on the ISA expansion card

from the system resource.

4 Select “Save” to save the data on the new system configuration.

5 Shut down the server and unplug the power cable after cutting off the power

supply.

6 Remove the panels.

See “Removing and replacing the server panels” and “Removing the side
panel (for pedestal models)” on page 25.

7 Remove the ISA expansion card from the ISA slot.

8 Restore the panels to the server.

9 Switch on the server again and check to see if no error message appears on

the display.

Installation of ISA Expansion Card (with CFG file)

For installing an ISA expansion card (with CFG file), follow the procedure
mentioned below.

1 Copy down the CFG file on the backup copy of the SSU (System Setup

Utility) floppy disks.

2 Switch on the server and start the SSU (System Setup Utility).

3 Select “Resources” from the “Task” menu.

4 Select “Add ISA Card”.

5 Select “Resource Use” and check or change the entered data.

6 Select “Save” to save the data on the new system configuration.

7 Shut down the server and unplug the power cable after cutting off the power

supply.

8 Remove the panels.
