The function of each security option is as follows.

Secure Mode Hot Key

This option is used to set the key (hot key) to enter the system into the security
mode. The system enters the security mode when the keys of + +
are pressed together. Since the security mode disables the
keyboard and mouse for operation, it is required to input the User Password on
the keyboard in order to activate the keyboard and mouse in the security mode.
This function is effective only in the case the User Password has been entered.

Secure Mode Timer

In the case a User Password has been entered, the system automatically enters
the security mode if the keyboard or mouse is not operated for a certain period
of time. This option is used to set the time to enter the system into the security
mode automatically. If “Disable” is selected for this option, the system does not
enter the security mode automatically.
This option functions only in the case a User Password has been entered.

Secure Boot Mode

If “Enable” is selected for this option, the system automatically enters the secu-
rity mode just after the operating system is started up, and input from the
keyboard and mouse is disregarded until the User Password is input on the key-
board.
If “Disable” is selected for this option, the system requires to input the User
Password before starting up the operating system. This function is activated
only in the case a User Password has been entered.

This option is used to actuate the display in the security mode (Enable) or not
(Disable).
