Entry of password
The password is classified into two: one is the Admin Password and the other is
the User Password.
™ Admin Password
Input of the Admin Password is needed to set up or change the system con-
figuration and to manage the system.
™ User Password
Input of the User Password is needed for daily use and management of the
system such as to start the operating system, to cancel the security mode,
and so on.
Input of the Admin Password and/or User Password is required as shown in the
table below.
NOTE: “Password on Boot” cannot be set up by the SSU (System Setup
Utility). Set it up by the BIOS setup utility.
For entering a password, select “Admin Password” or “User Password” on the
“Security” menu. If no password has been entered, the following dialog box
appears on the display.
