Setup of security function

If you select “Option” on the “Security” menu, the following menu appears on
the display and you can set up the security function. Since the security mode
disables not only the keyboard and mouse but the power switch and reset
switch for operation, be sure to enter a User Password before proceeding to set-
ting of the security function. When the system enters the security mode, the
LED’s (NumLock, CapsLock, ScrollLock LED’s) on the keyboard blink to
warn the user about the security mode. If you set “Video Blanking” and
“Floppy Write Protect” options, output to the display is stopped and access to
the floppy disk is restricted in the security mode.

NOTE: If the BIOS setup utility is used, it enables you to set more security
functions as compared with use of the SSU.

To cancel the security mode, input the password on the keyboard.
