System
Configuration Setup
The server is completely set up at the factory before shipment. Therefore, this
chapter gives explanation of resetting and checking of the system configuration
if some optional device is added to the system or there is a change in the setting
of the server.
SSU (System Setup Utility)
NOTE: The menus shown in this chapter are just examples, which may dif-
fer from your menus that appear actually.
The SSU (System Setup Utility) is a Window-type utility to manage hardware
resources such as the mother board, expansion cards, etc.
If you use the SSU to set up the system configuration, you can set hardware
resources (DMA channels, interrupt levels, I/O connector addresses, memory
addresses and so on of the mother board and expansion cards) without conflict
among them.
