Chapter 8 PowerFlex 700AFE Drive - Frame 13 Procedures
1. Review the General Precautions on page 17 .
2. Remove power from the AFE. See Remove Power from the AFE on page
192 .
3. If necessary, remove the LCL filter fan. See LCL Filter Fan Assembly
Removal and Installation on page
252 .
4. Disconnect the X1 connector from the fan sheet metal housing.
5. If necessary, disconnect the X51 and X53 connectors from the fan power
supply.
6. Remove the three M5 x 16 mm hexalobular screws that secure the
assembly to the fan housing.
7. Disconnect the cable from X51 on the LCL filter fan power supply and X3
on the AFE power unit and discard the cable.
IMPORTANT Before doing any work, disconnect the AFE power structure from the AC supply,
and wait until the fan stops and the indicators on the keypad turn off. (If a
keypad is not attached, see the indicator through the keypad base.) Wait 5
more minutes before doing any work on the DC-to-DC power supply. Do not
even open the cover until after this time has expired.
