9.8.33 Hydraulic Oil Temperature Warning Indicator Troubleshooting

Hydraulic Oil Temperature
Warning Indicator
MA7590
Check hydraulic fluid level.
Check for plugged condition
or debris on oil cooler.
Hydraulic oil temperature
warning indicator stays
ON while operating.
Repair as needed.
Disconnect harness at switch.
Indicator light should go out.
Check connections and circuit
at switch.
Repair as needed.
Replace hydraulic oil
temperature switch and
retest system.
Check circuit for grounded
wire 151 (YEL/GRN).
If grounded, repair wire.
Refer to pages 9.38, 9.39,
9.40, 9.41, 9.50, 9.51, 9.62,
9.63, 9.64, 9.65,9.74, 9.75,
9.84, 9.85, 9.86, 9.87, 9.102
or 9.103.
Replace instrument cluster.
Stop and idle engine for
5 minutes to allow
hydraulic oil to cool.
If OK

Before troubleshooting any
electrical circuit, ALWAYS
begin by checking the
following:
1. Fuses.
2. Battery for proper charge.
3. All connections relating to
circuit are clean and tight.
4. Check instrument cluster
bulb for proper function.
