Electrical System
Repair/replace cab harness.
If
OK
Replace solenoid.
Not OK
If OK
Reconnect steer select valve
solenoid male connector and
verify that solenoid is
magnetized by holding a
metal object next to
the solenoid.
Before troubleshooting any
electrical circuit, ALWAYS
begin by checking the
following:
1. All connections relating to
circuit are clean and tight.
Replace fuse.
Four-wheel steer mode
does not function with the
steer select switch in the
four-wheel steer mode
position.
Disconnect steer select valve
solenoid male connector
and check for battery
voltage, across wires
[9] (LT GRN/BLK) and
[2B] (BLK).

Not OK
Refer to Section
Repair/replace engine
harness.
If
OK
Check for battery voltage at
wire [9] (LT GRN/BLK) at
bulkhead connector, Pin C3.
Not OK
Repair/replace cab harness.
If
OK
Check for battery voltage at
wire [9] (GRN/BLK) at steer
select switch, Pin 3.
Not OK
Replace steer select switch.
If
OK
Check for battery voltage at
wire [11B] (LT GRN/BLU) at
steer select switch, Pin 2.
Not OK
Check for battery voltage at
10 amp steer select switch
fuse, output side.
Not OK
