Electrical System
Repair/replace
roadlight harness.
Replace lighting
control lever.
Disconnect three position
plug at lighting control lever
and check for voltage at
roadlight harness Pin C,
wire [1C] (RED).
Replace bulb.
Repair/replace
roadlight harness.
Replace lighting
control lever.
Disconnect three position
plug at lighting control lever
and check for voltage at
roadlight harness Pin C,
wire [1C] (RED).
If one position light is not ON,
verify voltage at that position
light, wires
[2J] & [20A] (Left Front),
[2H] & [20B] (Right Front),
[2F] & [20D] (Right Rear) or
[2E] & [20C] (Left Rear).
Replace bulb.
With the ignition ON and
the lighting control lever
rotated to 1st position
(Side Lights Only), side
lights remain OFF.
If one dipped beam light is not
ON, verify voltage at that
dipped beam light, wires
[2J] & [21A] (Left Front),
[2H] & [21B] (Right Front).
With the ignition ON and
the lighting control lever
rotated to 2nd position
(Side Lights & Headlights)
and pulled back for dipped
beam lights ON, dipped
beam lights remain OFF.
Before troubleshooting any
electrical circuit, ALWAYS
begin by checking the
following:
1. Fuses.
2. All connections relating
to circuit are clean and
tight.
3. Before troubleshooting
either the side lights
circuit or the dipped
beam lights circuit, verify
that the worklight circuit
is operating. If not, follow
the steps listed at,
Section 9.7.53,
“Roadlights w/
Worklights Circuit and
Troubleshooting
(Option),” before
troubleshooting either
the side lights circuit or
the dipped beam lights
circuit.
