11. Excessive chain wear. 1. Improper chain adjustment.
2. Chain sheave(s) not properly
lubricated.
3. Chain sheave(s) not rotating
freely.
4. Improper chain lubrication.
1. Adjust to correct tension. (Refer
to Section 3.4.3, “Boom Chain
Tension Check,” - 8042 and
10042 or Section 3.7.3, “Boom
Chain Tension Check,” - 10054.)
Replace chains as needed.

2. Lubricate chain sheave. (Refer
