leave your name, ship, phone/Marisat number, location and
urgency of the problem on the recording at Triton Elics’s phone
number.
• Calls returned by Triton Elics are customarily billed at cost plus
20 percent. This is especially important to consider when calls
are returned to a ship at sea via Marisat, high seas operator or
local marine operator. Triton Elics recommends that cellular
phones be used whenever possible and where coverage is
satisfactory. Because of the high cost of Marisat, it should be
used as a last resort.
Even though Isis is a highly sophisticated image processor and data
acquisition system, we realize a hardware failure can occur occasionally.
Should this happen, we want you to know that our personnel are
sensitive to the importance of your operation and to your satisfaction with
both your Isis system and the service that we provide. We pledge to help
you in every way possible and will strive to provide the necessary service
quickly and efficiently.
12.6 Warranty Repair
Triton Elics backs its products with in-warranty support and Extended
Maintenance Agreements.
12.6.1 Repair of In-Warranty Items
Parts and labor for defective parts and workmanship of Triton Elics’s own
manufacture are warranted for 90 days. Consult Triton Elics directly
concerning any failures and applicable warranties.
All service must be done at Triton Elics’s Watsonville facility unless
otherwise agreed to in advance in the purchase contract. Shipping and
associated insurance to and from the Buyer are the Buyer’s responsibility.
Service in the field is at standard labor billing rates and expenses are billed
at cost plus 20 percent. Adjustments in field-labor charges during warranty
periods are made only to the extent of the labor hours actually spent
performing warranty service and exclude transit time, standby time and
other time waiting for the availability of parts and equipment (all of which are
billed and not adjusted).
