12.3.2 DSP
Board
This diagnostic can check several aspects of the board’s working condition:
• proper operation of the board’s timer and the accuracy of the
counter
• proper operation of the chip that digitizes the sonar’s signal
• state of the board’s port RAM
• on/off state of the switch that relays the sonar’s signal to the
analog-to-digital converter
• proper operation of the board’s analog-to-digital converter unit
• math tests applicable to DSP types of computation
12.3.3 Graphics
Processor
This diagnostic checks for the type of graphics processor being used in your
system. The diagnostic also runs the manufacturer’s tests appropriate for
the type of processor found.
12.3.4 SCSI
Controller
This diagnostic reports on the status of up to seven SCSI devices that may
be attached to your system. For example, the diagnostic will tell you if an
appropriate software driver is present for a given SCSI device.
12.3.5 Trackball
Isis takes full advantage of all your trackball’s buttons. The trackball
diagnostic can tell you if all those buttons are working properly. It can also
indicate which COM port the trackball is attached to.
