All the parameters shown in the 2-D Wiggle Display dialog box also appear
in the 3-D Wiggle Display dialog box. In addition, you can set the 3-D Wiggle
direction to simulate a view away from or toward the sonar, respectively.
Two-way travel time increases from left to right or from right to left across
the window, depending on the channel type (port or starboard) and scrolling
direction.
10.3 Signal
Signal windows are the software equivalent of having an oscilloscope connected
to the incoming data channels. These windows display the signal, one ping at a
time, for any number of available channels. Isis allows for two types of signal
windows: Voltage – Across and Voltage – Down. A third possibility, FFT (Fast
Fourier Transforms), is also listed but grayed out.
10.3.1 Voltage – Across …or… Voltage – Down
Voltage windows display the signal voltage for selected channels and the
time in milliseconds. Time increases in a voltage window from left to right for
each channel unless you are measuring a port sidescan channel. When port
sidescan channels are displayed in a voltage window, time increases from
right to left in the section of the window representing the port channel. The
purpose of this anomaly is to provide consistency between voltage and
waterfall windows. Voltage window display parameters are controlled via the
Voltage Display dialog box (Figure 10-6).
