Scaling
Ranges
For any of the available graphs — main menu Window→Graph {Pitch,
Roll, Heave | Navigation | Telemetry | Ship and Towfish | Auxiliary |
Magnetometer | Computed CTD | Raw CTD} — you can change the
graph’s scale.
Changing the scale emphasizes or de-emphasizes the point-to-point
movement in the graph’s plot. Expanding the range displays a less detailed
plot, yielding a “flatter” plot in the graph; narrowing the range reveals the
detail of point-to-point movement, so that the twists and turns of the plot
stand out. You can set the scaling range either before or after you have
displayed a graph. Choose Window→Graph→Set Scaling Ranges to set
up these parameters. A sample graph is shown in Figure 10-24. Its
controlling dialog box is shown in Figure 10-25.
