Status
(radio buttons)

Your choices are On or Off.
On: If you are plotting to a non-standard Windows device
and you selected On here, Isis will display a separate
dialog box and report the following parameters during the
plotting session: Queue status, Lines plotted, Lines
dropped
, Suspend Output. (Also recall that the non-
standard Windows device must be locally attached to
your Isis system; in Isis, you can’t print over a network to
a non-standard Windows device.)
If you click Suspend Output during a recording session
so that you can change paper, you will be prompted to
Resume printing from a separate dialog box. When you
press Resume, queued data is printed.
Plotting begins on the selected plotter as soon as the
Plotter Setup dialog box is closed unless you set Plotter
Status to Off.
Off: Imagery will only be plotted if you click Plot Screen
Now
.

drop-down
box
(list of plotters)

In addition to the Standard Printer default choice from
the drop-down box, you can choose a plotter from a wide
list of available plotters.

Plot directly to
port
(radio button,
with area to
type a port
number)

The choice to enable or disable this feature is available
only if you have chosen a printer other than Standard
Printer
. Enable this with a check mark if you want to
speed up plotting. Under some conditions, the plotter
may not operate in this mode. Under NT this choice
causes printer output to occur via a file handle, allowing
Isis to print without needing WinRT. This feature not
available with TDU plotters. Under NT, the “Printer” entry
specifies which LPT port to use.

Setup Output
(button)

Summons the standard Windows dialog box for printer
properties and choices. This button is not available for
other plotters in the list. (Output for other plotters usually
are accomplished through hardware selections.)

Correct for
(check boxes)

By clicking to put check marks in any of the boxes for
Speed, Slant-range, Heave, and/or Beam Angle, you
can correct for any or all of these factors. The Beam
Angle choice is grayed out if you have not enabled beam
angle correction from the Tools menu. See

9.8, ‘Beam

Angle, Grazing Angle,’
