8.5 Speed
The Speed command allows you to specify Automatic towfish speed calculation
by Isis or Manual speed entry. Towfish speed is used by Isis for geocoding and
for rectilinear rendering if speed correction is activated in a Waterfall window.

Automatic
Isis will use a speed received from the navigation computer, if
available, or calculate a speed based on the change in position
over time.
Manual Use the slide bar to specify the speed in knots.
Filter speed In Record mode, whenever Isis computes a speed, you can filter
it on the fly. You can turn this feature on or off by checking or
unchecking Filter speed. (This is the same as checking Filter
Speed Input box from the Serial Port Setup dialog box. See
Figure 4-8). If you enable the feature, you should also set the
minimum and maximum speeds accessible by clicking the Setup
Filter button.
