If you use (enable) slant range, make sure the seafloor bottom is
being tracked correctly. Otherwise, you might not get acceptable
results in your displayed imagery. See 10.7.2 (‘Bottom Track and
TVG’).

Setting Up to Digitize Lines or Polygons
Before recording or playing back data, you can specify ahead of time the file
names and descriptors you wish to associate with the data imagery.
Anticipating the types of images you might encounter will also result in
quicker placement of points when you find images to be tagged or
demarcated.
Preparing for digitizing lines or polygons means:
• deciding on a tracking method: manual, semi-automatic, or full
automatic
• filling out a description list table for one or more sets of points
• indicating whether the set of tagged points will represent lines or
polygons
• specifying an ASCII output file name to be associated with the
description list table
To access the Digitize Lines and Polygons dialog box
• From the Isis main menu, choose Tools→Digitize Lines and
Polygons.
The system displays the initial Digitize Lines and Polygons dialog box
(Figure 9-3).
