AUTO TESTS
Allows access to the individual Automatic tests available on the CableSHARK.
VF AUTO POTS:
Performs an automatic test on an active POTS circuit
VF AUTO NO POTS:
Designed for testing a circuit for POTS capabilities but is not
currently provisioned for POTS or there is no POTS service currently on the line.
ADSL AUTO:
Performs an automatic test to qualify a circuit for ADSL
ADSL2 AUTO:
Performs an automatic test to qualify a circuit for ADSL2
ADSL2+ AUTO:
Performs an automatic test to qualify a circuit for ADSL2+
SHDSL AUTO:
Performs an automatic test to qualify a circuit for SHDSL
AUTO SETUP
This function defines the PASS / FAIL criteria for the VF AUTO POTS, VF AUTO
NO POTS, ADSL AUTO, ADSL2 AUTO, ADSL2+ AUTO, and SHDSL AUTO tests.
Users can define minimum upstream and downstream ADSL data rate criteria,
minimum SHDSL data rate criteria, minimum longitudinal balance, voltages and
resistance for T-R, R-G, T-G.
RESPOND.
MODE
The function button associated with RESPOND. MODE allows the CableSHARK to
be placed into Remote Responder Mode. This is used for End-to-End tests where
the unit that has the RESPOND. MODE activated will only transmit signals to a
Receiving unit. It is the Receiving unit that will display the test results.
NOTE: The unit will automatically enter Responder Mode if there are no
keypad presses on the Main Menu screen for 3 minutes.
NOTE: This button will be replaced with ACTIVATE REMOTE if Remote
Device is set under System Setup.
