From System Setup, press the UPGRADE SOFTWARE function key. The CableSHARK will ask you if you
are sure to want to proceed and prompt you if your hardware has any software version limitations. Press Yes
to continue or NO to return to the System Setup menu. If YES is pressed, the CableSHARK will indicate
Waiting for Connection….
On the PC, run the CableSHARK upgrade executable. You can select from several connection types.

Ethernet Cable:
Crossover
Select if connection to the CableSHARK directly from a PC (using a crossover cable).
See Section 4.1.4. Press the Program button to upgrade the unit.
Ethernet Cable:
Via the Network
Select if connection to the CableSHARK is over a LAN or the Internet (using a
straight cable). See Section 4.1.4. Press the Program button to upgrade the unit.
Serial (Null
Modem) Cable
Select if connection to the CableSHARK is by a serial null modem cable. See Section
4.1.3. Press the Program button to upgrade the unit.
