This figure shows a HIGH RESISTANCE JOINT
or SPLICE. This is composed of a high
impedance reflection followed by a low
impedance reflection. Generally, the better the
splice, the smaller the reflection. A large
reflection, as denoted above, would signify a poor
splice.

terminated cable absorbs the send pulse and
causes no reflection. For the purposes of TDR
testing, it is best to use an un-terminated cable to
ensure a reflection is send to the CableSHARK.
