CABLE TESTS
Selecting the function button corresponding to CABLE TESTS displays a primary
pop-up menu where the user can select from all tests installed in the unit. From
this primary pop-up menu, the user can select from the variety of cable tests
available from the CableSHARK, including “FR TEST” (Frequency Response
Testing), “TDR TEST” (Time Domain Reflectometry Testing), “DMT TEST”
(Discrete Multi-Tone Testing), “NOISE TEST”, “LONG BAL TEST” (Longitudinal
Balance Testing), and “LOAD COIL” (Load Coil Detection Testing), and “DMM”
(Voltage, Resistance, Capacitance). Another PSD test called “SPECT DETECT”
will be displayed once the SPECTRAL DETECTIVE option key is installed. The
SPECTRAL DETECTIVE is capable of bridging onto an active circuit to perform a
PSD measurement. Other Cable Tests are available and depends upon the
CableSHARK package purchased (Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum).
