15.4 Impulse Noise Test
The Impulse Noise function allows a user to measure Impulse Noise on the circuit under test.
To measure Impulse Noise, select the VF TESTS option from the CABLE TESTS pop-up menu. Select
RECEIVE TONE from the VF TESTS sub-menu. To continue, press RUN/STOP.

The VF TEST menu has the following configuration option.
TEST TYPE: Select IMPULSE NOISE
TERM IMP: 600 ohms (or 100, 150 ohms if your unit does not have 600 ohms installed).
Noise Filter Allows user to select from NONE, C-Message, C-Notched, 3 kHz Flat, 15 kHz
Flat, 50 kbit, and IEEE 743 D Filter. For ITU, Psophometric and P-Notched are
available.
Low Thresholds Allows user to select the low threshold for the impulse noise test.
