Some Menu Bar items may be unavailable in certain circumstances. For instance, the “Window” item will be
unavailable when no windows are currently open. The toolbar also resides near the upper left of the Visi-
SHARK screen and it consists of several convenient icons that can be used to activate some of the most
common functions.

In some cases, certain Toolbar icons will be “grayed out” if the corresponding function is unavailable. For
instance, if no CableSHARK is connected and no result files are open, the Save Image icon will be
unavailable since there is no on-screen image that can be saved.
J.6.1 File Menu
The File menu contains such menu functions as Upload Result, Print and Exit.
To open the file menu, click on the “File” entry on the Menu Bar to open the File menu as shown below.
J.6.1.1 Upload Result
The Upload Result function enables the operator to upload current or saved CableSHARK results to a PC.
To activate the Upload Results function, click on the Upload Results icon.
Alternatively, the Upload Results function can be activated by clicking on the “File” entry on the Menu Bar
and then clicking on the “Upload Results” entry on the menu that appears.
Invoking the Upload Result function transfers the on-screen CableSHARK result to the users PC through
Visi-SHARK. Visi-SHARK then attempts to load Microsoft Excel and show the tabular and charted results.
If Microsoft Excel is not installed on a PC, this function will not work!
