15.1.3 Sending 3 Tone Slope
To send 3 Tone Slope, select the VF TESTS option from the CABLE TESTS pop-up menu. Select SEND
TONE from the VF TESTS sub-menu. Press RUN/STOP to continue.

The VF TEST menu has the following configuration option.
TEST TYPE: Select SEND TONE
TERM IMP: 600 ohms (or 100, 150 ohms if your unit does not have 600 ohms installed).
Level (dBm): Level can be set from –16 dBm to +18 dBm. Use the asterisk key ( * ) to toggle
between minus ( - ) and plus ( + ) symbols.
Frequency Mode: Allows user to select from SPOT, VARIABLE, TX 3 TONE SLOPE and TRACING
TONE.
Time / Tone (sec) Allows user to specify the time between tones sent when using the TX 3 Tone
Slope test. Options are from 1 to 10 seconds.
