The DMT TEST SETUP menu has several options that appear at the upper part of the screen (see the
previous illustration). The parameters can be modified to customize a DMT test. The following describes
the DMT test setup options:
TEST TYPE:
The user can choose from DMT End-to-End (end-to-end test) or from the many
optional Single End tests. For end-to-end testing, activate one CableSHARK to
Responder Mode from its Main Menu.
For Single Ended testing, the options are:
ADSL FROM CUSTOMER
(was ADSL CPE): means the CableSHARK is
emulating a generic CPE device
ADSL FROM CO/EXCH
: means the CableSHARK is emulating a generic DSLAM
ADSL2 FROM CUSTOMER
(was ADSL2 CPE): means the CableSHARK is
emulating an ADSL2 CPE device
ADSL2 FROM CO/EXCH
: means the CableSHARK is emulating an ADSL2
DSLAM
