To abort the Open dialog box, click on the Cancel button.
J.6.2.2 Capture to file…
Clicking this option will allow the user to take a screen capture of the active window on the screen and save
it to disk. Screen captures have the file extension “.jpg”.
This function is invoked by clicking the “Screen Image” item on the Menu Bar and then clicking the “Capture
to file…” item on the menu that appears or by clicking on the Save Image icon.
A Windows® save dialog will appear. To find a directory to place the screen capture file in or to find an
existing file to replace, the operator can browse for the desired directory or file by using the controls nearest
the top of the dialog box.

When you have browsed to (or created) the directory that you wish to save your file in, enter a name for the
file in the “File Name:” field and press the Save button. If you wish to replace a file in the directory that you
have browsed to, single click on it so that it is highlighted and press the Save button. You can also double-
click on the file to be replaced to perform the same action. In either case, you will be asked if you want to
replace the existing file.
The “Recall from file…” function can be used to retrieve screen captures from disk.
