With TX 3 TONE SLOPE selected, press the RUN/STOP key to start the test. The following screen will

The TX 3 TONE SLOPE screen shows the tones (frequencies) being transmitted. Selecting the
EDIT/SELECT button will allow the user to modify FREQUENCY if desired.
15.1.4 Sending a Tracing Tone
The Tracing Tone function places a continuous tone on the line for use in cable pair detection to ensure the
technician is measuring the correct pair at the far end.
To send a Tracing Tone onto the line, select the VF TESTS option from the CABLE TESTS pop-up menu.
Select SEND TONE from the VF TESTS sub-menu. Press RUN/STOP to continue.
